Digital business and ecommerce services

E-commerce and online payments

I have worked in the Internet industry for over 20 years and have helped corporate telecoms, media and technology clients to launch digital products, often as part of their digital transformation. Often I am consulting with these clients for many months at a time.

I provide Ecommerce sites for local businesses. During lockdown I was busy building an ecommerce website for a local business, improving WordPress security & performance for a Liverpool charity and advising a training business about creating digital products. I do security audits on WordPress and WooCommerce web sites and I also offer security updates and maintenance by monthly subscription. Here are the ecommerce services I provide.

I offer web-based Ordering and payment solutions for Tea Rooms, Cafes, bars and Pubs. These work with TeaRounder – a free companion app for families and large groups to buy a round without going to the counter. Getting another round is easy because the Tearounder app remembers who wanted what drink last time. I’m always happy to show this working on a demonstration site – just book some time for a chat.

Next, I’m going to talk about database driven services I have been running for junior football leagues and tournament organisers for over 10 years. Read on…

Tournament marketplace

England’s largest online football tournament marketplace is ClubTournament.co.uk.  Junior football team managers meet Tournament Directors in other clubs and organise their summer football here. This market is an important seasonal revenue source for many grassroots football clubs. To help clubs plan their recovery from the pandemic I have published my statistics on the club tournament market..

Fairplay rating service

Fairplay tracks and rates grassroots football team behaviour. Junior football Leagues want to identify and reward well behaved teams. They also want to identify and call to account the badly behaving teams. After a match the team official submits a rating for the opposition. Overworked Team Managers can easily nominate parent helpers to do this. The submissions help track trends and build Fariplay League tables. As the season progresses the League gets reports, analysis and can publish Fairplay tables. It’s just what the FA suggests should be happening. This service is in operation with two junior football leagues – about 5,000 players each year. We’ve been doing it since 2011, learning and improving along the way.

Contract risk comparisons

Thinkable Cloud Ltd is the technology partner for a web based tool that compares supply contract risks for small and medium businesses that are thinking of attracting investment or selling up. UK business owners, investors and their professional advisors get charts that compare and visualise risks in their supply contracts. Charts that can be used in investment pitch presentations or when selling a business, or just to help prioritise which supply contracts need to be re-negotiated first. Thinkable Cloud Ltd has designed and implemented the live demo and site.
